定义

The T3RU测试 measures the level of proteins that carry thyroid hormone in the blood. This can help your health care provider interpret the results of T3T4 血液测试.

Because tests called the free T4 blood test 和 thyroxine binding globulin (TBG) 血液测试 are now available, the T3RU测试 is rarely used these days.

Resin T3 uptake; T3 resin uptake; Thyroid hormone-binding ratio

Your provider will tell you if you need to stop taking any medicines before the test that may affect your test result. DO NOT stop taking any medicine without first talking to your provider.

Some drugs that can increase T3RU levels include:

  • 合成代谢类固醇
  • 肝素钠
  • 苯妥英
  • 水杨酸盐(高剂量)
  • 华法令阻凝剂

Some drugs that can decrease T3RU levels include:

  • 抗甲状腺药物
  • 避孕药
  • 安妥明
  • 雌激素
  • 噻嗪类
  • 阿片类药物和美沙酮

怀孕 can also decrease T3RU levels.

These conditions can decrease TBG levels (see below section "为什么要进行测试" for more about TBG):

  • 严重的疾病
  • Kidney disease when protein is lost in the urine (nephrotic syndrome)

Other medicines that bind to protein in the blood can also affect test results.

When the needle is inserted to draw blood, some people feel moderate pain. Others feel only a prick or stinging. Afterward, there may be some throbbing or a slight bruise.

This test is done to check your thyroid function. Thyroid function depends on the action of many different hormones, including thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), T3, 和T4.

This test helps check the amount of T3 that TBG is able to bind. TBG is a protein that carries most of the T3 和T4 in the blood.

Your provider may recommend a T3RU测试 if you have signs of a thyroid disorder, including:

  • 甲状腺机能亢进 (甲状腺功能亢进)
  • 甲状腺功能减退 (甲状腺不够)
  • 甲状腺毒性周期性麻痹 (muscle weakness caused by high levels of thyroid hormone in the blood)

Normal values range from 24% to 37%.

Normal value ranges may vary slightly among different laboratories. Some labs use different measurements or test different samples. Talk to your provider about the meaning of your specific test results.

Higher-than-normal levels may indicate:

  • 肾功能衰竭
  • Overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism)

Lower-than-normal levels may indicate:

  • 急性 肝炎 (肝病)
  • 怀孕
  • 甲状腺功能减退
  • Use of estrogen, opioids or methadone

Abnormal results may also be due to an inherited condition of high TBG levels. Usually thyroid function is normal in people with this condition.

This test may also be done for:

  • 慢性甲状腺炎 (swelling or inflammation of the thyroid gl和, including Hashimoto disease)

There is little risk involved with having your blood taken. Veins 和 arteries vary in size from one person to another 和 from one side of the body to the other. Obtaining a 血液样本 from some people may be more difficult than from others.

Other risks associated with having blood drawn are slight, but may include:

  • 大出血
  • Fainting or feeling lightheaded
  • Multiple punctures to locate veins
  • Hematoma (blood buildup under the skin)
  • Infection (a slight risk any time the skin is broken)
